ARTIST STATEMENT
In her artistic practice, she creates immersive and playful experiences aimed at revealing scientific phenomena, geometric shapes, and social impact. By simplifying concepts and complex structures into minimalistic, aesthetically pleasing light installations and augmented reality, she strives to make her work accessible to the public.

Her motivation stems from navigating the contrasting worlds of East and West as a bicultural individual. In this dual existence, she keenly observes the disparities and harmonies between the ethereal and the concrete, the invisible and the visible.

Having grown up amidst the juxtaposition of ancient history and high-tech society, she draws inspiration from these stark contrasts to sculpt her artistic vision. This exploration spans diverse realms, encompassing the convergence of cutting-edge technology and minimalism, delving into Japanese philosophies such as Zen, Taoism, and Symbolism, and exploring visual content, light design, and experimental sound.

In her ongoing projects, SEI, EN, MI, and GO, she explores the subtle nuances of homophones by incorporating Japanese-Chinese characters. These characters carry diverse meanings but share the same pronunciation in Japanese. Through this exploration, she uncovers hidden meanings, navigates structural rules, conceptualizes installations, and employs technology to guide the audience in perceiving these concealed layers of significance. She strives to bridge two worlds through playful encounters.
