Who is SIGMASIX?

SIGMASIX is an interaction design and new media art studio based in Geneva, Switzerland founded by artists, Eric Morzier and Florian Pittet in 2004.

Tell us about your visual journey?

Eric and Florian graduated in Media & Interaction Design at the University of Art and Design in Lausanne (ECAL) in 2008. Eric performed one of his first Live Performance, VJing and also, he introduced a worldwide Audio Visual Community, SHARE from NY at the Mapping Festival, Geneva Switzerland in 2005. He worked very close with GarageCube for a long time.

Now, SIGIMASIX is specialized in custom interactive installations for prestigious brands like Hermès, Hublot, and Tissot and art installations for galleries, museums and scenography for festivals.

Software: Custom made infrared tracking and video calibration tool. Madmapper was sometimes used, if the setup uses multiple projectors.

VERTICAL SURROUND, 2013
A sound and light installation by Mimetic and SIGMASIX.
Octophonic (4 speakers under the ceiling, four speakers on the floor) installation with lights surrounding the space.

Software: Custom made the Modul8 module control moving head lights and a haze machine. All synchronized in MIDI with the audio (Cubase)

HERMÈS FLANER, 2015
“Get Home” is a video mapping installation based on an original drawing by Ugo Gattoni and part of the Hermès exhibition Wonderland at the Saatchi Gallery in London and Quai de Seine in Paris in 2015.
